San Diego man in possession of stolen vehicle arrested by deputies in Wildomar

WILDOMAR – Deputies arrested a man in Wildomar, after he was found sitting inside a stolen car on Wednesday, Jan. 27. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and he was later booked into jail on several felony charges.
At about 2:40 a.m., a deputy conducting routine patrol in Wildomar spotted a black Toyota SUV in the parking lot of a business complex, located in the 23000 block of Clinton Keith Road, in the city of Wildomar.
The deputy conducted a records check of the license plate and learned the vehicle had been reported stolen from the San Diego area. The deputy saw the vehicle was occupied and requested additional deputies to assist him.
Several deputies responded to the location and detained the subject sitting inside the SUV without incident.
Deputies conducted an investigation and identified Milton Dwaine Shepherd, a 31-year-old resident of San Diego, as the person inside the stolen vehicle. Following their investigation, deputies arrested Shepherd for possession of stolen property. He was transported to the Southwest Detention Center, where he was booked on multiple felony charges.
A jail records search indicated Shepherd is being held in lieu of $115,000 bail. He is expected to be arraigned at the Southwest detention Center on Feb. 9, at 8:30 a.m.
