RIVERSIDE – A man escaped unidentified yesterday after chasing and touching four different girls who were walking to school. The assaults reportedly occurred on Wednesday Feb. 3, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m., during a string of four separate early-morning incidents in Riverside, according to Riverside Police officials.
The man has only been identified as a Hispanic male adult, about 30 to 40 years of age, wearing a black baseball cap or beanie, black running jacket, black running pants and black shoes.
Three of the incidents reportedly occurred on Gramercy Place, in the general areas of Jones Ave., Crest Ave. and Wohlstetter St. The fourth assault happened near Hole and Jones Avenues.
The four female students, ranging in age from 12 to 18, all told law enforcement officials similar accounts of the assaults.
In each of the incidents, “The male chased the females, touched them in a sexual manner and fled,” Riverside Police officials said in a written statement.
Riverside Police officials are reminding parents and students be aware of their surroundings and to report suspicious persons or activity in the area.
