SAN JACINTO: Homeowner’s video surveillance system leads to arrest of two for residential burglary
Michael Echeverria, 25, of San Jacinto was arrested following an in-progress residential burglary investigation.
SAN JACINTO – A San Jacinto homeowner saw two suspects burglarizing his home using a remote video surveillance system on Wednesday, Feb. 24, leading to the arrest of two subjects accused of burglarizing the residence.
The Riverside Sheriff’s emergency communications center received a 911 call from the homeowner, at about 1:55 p.m. The homeowner told sheriff’s dispatchers they were watching two subjects burglarize their home via surveillance footage being sent to their smart phone. When the homeowner saw the surveillance footage of the burglary in progress, they had immediately called 911 to report the incident.
A Riverside County Sheriff’s helicopter and patrol deputies, including a K9 unit, responded to the residence, located in the 200 block of Peregrine Lane in San Jacinto. Deputies established a perimeter around the residence and eventual located and detained two subjects they found hiding inside the home.
During their investigation, deputies identified one of the suspects as Michael Echeverria, 25, of San Jacinto. Echeverria had several warrants for his arrest. He was later booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for suspicion of residential burglary as well as his warrants. The other suspect was a minor and therefore not named. The minor was booked into juvenile hall for burglary.

I LOVE these new high tech surveillance security systems . Hopefully, everyone will have one and put the criminals out of the business of burglaries, at least.
Now if that surveillance system could just automatically release some sort of knock out gas, (from an app on the smart phone watching all this) that would make the criminal fall asleep instantly, just DROP where they are. That way the Sheriff or Police can just get in there and bust them without incidence. Of course, they’d to always carry a portable stretcher with them to carry them out to the squad car. Lol.
