Jurupa Valley transient arrested after spending night calling 911, making threats
Marlatt was arrested after making threatening phone calls to the Jurupa Valley Police Department.
JURUPA VALLEY – A transient was arrested by deputies Thursday, April 7, after he allegedly spent several hours making threatening 911 calls to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, according to a sheriff official.
“Beginning at 2:10 a.m., a male subject left numerous voicemail messages threatening violence against law enforcement and personnel at the Jurupa Valley Station,” according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Justin Rowan.
After being notified about the numerous threatening phone calls, investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Jurupa Valley Station assumed control of the investigation.
During their investigation, officials positively identified the caller as Joshua Adam Marlatt, a 31-year-old transient of Jurupa Valley.
Investigators located Marlatt Tuesday, April 19, at 8:00 a.m. Officers reportedly located Marlatt while he was walking in the area of Mission Blvd. and Opal Street, Jurupa Valley.
Officers arrested Marlatt without incident. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for suspicion of making terrorist threats.
