RIVERSIDE: Officials asking for help identifying church burglary suspect

RIVERSIDE – Officers from the Riverside Police Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman suspected of burglarizing a church and using at least one church credit card to make numerous fraudulent purchases with the stolen credit card. The church is located in the 100 block of Palmyrita Avenue, in Riverside.

According to a press release from the department, the unidentified woman entered Sandals Church, Sunday, April 17, at about 4:15 p.m., and stole a church credit card and a wallet belonging to a church employee.

Officers described the woman as a Hispanic female adult, in her late 20’s to early 30’s. Police further described the alleged suspect as 5’4″ and weighing about 150 pounds. Two images provided by the department show the woman with brown hair that was in a ponytail. In one of two surveillance photographs, the alleged suspect appeared to be wearing a pair of glasses.

The subject was last seen leaving the church in a white truck. Officials were not able to provide any further description regarding the vehicle the alleged suspect fled the location in.
