UPDATE 4: Man dies after being shot multiple times inside San Jacinto residence

Riverside County Sheriff’s officials have released new details, as well as the name of the alleged suspect who reportedly shot and killed one of his own family members.
During their investigation, deputies “located an adult male within the residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds,” Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Walter Mendez explained. “Medical aid responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Investigators from the San Jacinto Police Department and the Central Homicide Unit responded to the residence and assumed the investigation.
“Waller was later identified as a relative to the victim,” Mendez said. “No additional suspects are sought at this time, and the identity of the victim will be withheld until next of kin is notified.”
Following their investigation, officials arrested Bryan Anthony Waller, 23 of Apple Valley. He was booked into the South West Detention Center.
A jail records search revealed Waller was booked into jail on suspicion of murder and kidnapping. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned June 1, at an unspecified court.
The investigation is active and ongoing and the Central Homicide Unit has requested anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Investigator Moody at (760) 393-3525. Callers can refer to incident file number I161470118 and can remain anonymous. Citizens may also submit a tip using the Sheriff’s Homicide Tipline online form.

Very few details have been released about last night’s fatal shooting incident that occurred in the 300 block of Cambridge Drive, in San Jacinto. However, Riverside Sheriff’s Public Information Officer, Deputy Michael Vasquez confirmed the victim who was shot succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Vasquez had no available information if the victim died at the residence or if he succumbed to his injuries elsewhere.
Crime scene investigators, coroner’s officials and other sheriff’s personnel were still on scene of the fatal shooting as of 12:30 p.m., Friday.
Geo Hygh, who lives near where the shooting occurred, said he heard a number of gunshots fired at about 8:37 p.m. “I counted 11 shots fired in rapid succession,” Hygh explained. “I immediately texted my girlfriend, so I know exactly what time I heard the gunshots. The shots were all fired within less than 10 seconds.”
Vasquez was not able to provide details about the victim or the suspect, saying the investigation was still active and ongoing. “The sheriff’s department will be issuing a press release with further details at a later time,” Vasquez said.
SAN JACINTO – A man was shot multiple times, Thursday, May 26, leading to a standoff at the residence where the shooting occurred, Riverside County Public Information Officer Mike Vasquez confirmed. The shooting incident and standoff happened in the 300 block of Cambridge Drive in San Jacinto. The shooting happened in a residential neighborhood, just south of Ramona Expressway and east of State Street.
Deputies arrested the man after a sheriff’s K9 was deployed. Once the suspect was in custody, paramedics treated the unidentified victim at the scene before they transported him to a local area hospital for further treatment. “The victim’s current status and condition are unknown at this time,” Vasquez said just after midnight.
Riverside County emergency communications dispatchers received several 911 calls from concerned citizens who heard the shooting at about 10:15 p.m.
One of the 911 callers was a person who was at the location of the shooting. The person told dispatchers they were hiding in the backyard of the residence where the shooting took place and they were trapped in the yard due to high fences and unable to flee from the property. The 911 caller also told dispatchers that the shooting suspect was inside the residence with the victim, who had been shot multiple times with a handgun.

Witnesses at the scene said the man who fired the weapon and was later arrested was possibly related to the victim he allegedly shot.
Numerous deputies, a K9 handler, Riverside County’s Aviation Unit “Star-9”, and other emergency first responders rushed to the location to provide medical assistance to the wounded man.
Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspect – who has not yet been identified – was still armed with a weapon and the shooting victim was inside the residence with the armed man. The alleged suspect had barricaded himself inside the residence and was unwilling to exit the home.
With Star-9 circling over the residence and the neighborhood completely surrounded, deputies attempted to speak with the alleged suspect and tried to convince him to follow their commands to drop his weapon and exit the home.
During the standoff, witnesses said they heard the alleged suspect yelling out the door of the residence while deputies attempted to get him to exit the residence peacefully.
San Jacinto PD’s K9 handler eventually deployed his K9 partner and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

I know the victim, who was shot and killed. I hope the piece of dried monkey poo (edited for young viewers) gets the death sentence. He was a good man. He was a father, he was just trying to find his place in a world he felt alone in.
I am sad that he felt alone. He was my step brother. He was part of my family since he was 16. We have tried numerous times to reach out to him. If the way I am reading the story is right he was there to save the woman. That was always his way. He would and possibly did give his life for friends and family. I just wish I knew more.
Hope I am not double posting this. The victim was a family member. I have known him since we were 16. So many good memories. Sad. We (his family) have tried to reach out to him numerous times. The only reason we know about what happened to him was they found my niece’s information and listed her as his niece. I am still devastated by the news. However, know my bro’s attitude about life, and friends and family I wouldn’t doubt he gave his life to save another. If they give the “monkey poo” the death sentence I will volunteer to throw the switch. The man deprived the world of a great man. Sure he had his faults, we all do. I am so sad he felt alone. I just wish he would have called, returned calls, or even Facebooked. Many questions, and not a lot of answers.

I knew David Spoto, and had me fearing for my life up until I found out about his death a couple of weeks ago. He terroized a lot of people. Most everyone I’ve spoken too feels the same as I do about his death. GOOD!!!!! Brian set a lot of people free from that monster.

David Spoto was a really bad person…he even killed his mom….had her so bad on drugs she only weighed 80 pounds at her death…David was a child molester and drug pusher….so you people saying he was a wonderful man are full of it….you have someone else in mind obviously

I’m sorry she has passed she was a very nice lady and Yes David was very strange Around younger Boys Kinda Freaky to me as well David had big Issues Especially when it came to the well being of his Mothers home Drugs over power ones mind and it sure took over His. We all don’t know the true story to what happen that night but I do Know One thing That Kid Bryan Is like My Nephew I knew that Kid Since he was 4yrs old And I Can Say He would NEVER Due Harm to any one Always well manner would do anything to help someone in a heartbeat But to say they need to flip that switch Is totally uncalled for because we dont really know what happen in that house.But One thing I can say is Bryan is not a killer. I guess the fact David remained with my family after he was abandoned by his own family during his teens until he was in his 20s pretty much doesn’t equate to family . So if we wish to split hairs, all you are providing is hearsay. So if you have hard proof, I would really enjoy reading it. Otherwise, opinions don’t represent facts. So I guess we are down innocent until proven guilty. So please have respect for those who are mourning.

Yeah so sorry Marty passed away, I blame her for David’s death. The man had a lot going for him before her beloved Bill died. Then she wanted David there until she threw him out when she was so stoned she could even tell who he was half the time. Believe me Marty was no freakin’ saint. Had she been a better mother, and David’s father, a better father he would probably have been alive to this day. I could tell you stories that would make your eyes bleed about them two baby makers.
So If you claim that you knew David so well and He was this Honest law abiding citizen and that had it going good for himself.
