Perris man arrested on 10 felony counts related to sexual abuse of a minor
PERRIS – Deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Perris Police Station arrested a man, accused of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child rape and other charges, June 7. The investigation began after a teenage girl told family and investigators she had been sexually assaulted by an adult male, according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Glenn Williams.
Investigators identified the alleged suspect as Brian Brown, 47, of Perris. After a weeklong investigation and search warrant served at Brown’s Perris residence, investigators arrested Brown. He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on ten felony charges.
Deputies conducted a preliminary investigation before the case was turned over to the Perris Station Investigations Bureau for further follow-up and investigation.
Investigators identified Brown as the suspect in the case after the victim told them she had been sexually assaulted by Brown at his residence.
On June 15, investigators served a search warrant at Brown’s residence on Ironwood Court in Perris. Brown was not home when investigators served the search warrant. However, deputies located him a short time later in Moreno Valley.
Brian Brown was arrested and booked on suspicion of 10 felonies related to raping a minor juvenile.
Based on their investigation, investigators arrested Brown.
A jail records search revealed Brown was booked on suspicion of rape, sodomy by force, two counts of unlawful sex with a minor, two counts of sodomy against a minor under 16, two counts of oral copulation of a minor under 16, lewd and lascivious acts by force or fear, and forced oral copulation with a minor older than 14.
Brown was released three days after his arrest, after he posted $100,000 bail. He is scheduled to be seen again at the Riverside Hall Of Justice, June 28.
