RIVERSIDE – Riverside Police Department narcotics detectives served a search warrant at a residence located in the 3800 Block of 5th Street, in Riverside, Tuesday, June 28. Detectives had identified the residence while conducting a long-term investigation into methamphetamine sales taking place in the downtown area.

During the service of the warrant, officials three subjects detained. As a result of their investigation, detectives arrested Kyle Andrew Dean Sexton, 25, of Riverside.

Detective Levesque and his K9 partner “Link” conducted a search and located individual packaged small amounts of methamphetamine indicative of illegal narcotic sales. Officials also located and recovered a stolen handgun, a stolen rifle, and an illegally modified, eleven-inch, sawed-off shotgun inside the residence.

Sexton was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for sales of methamphetamine, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of prohibited firearm, felony probation violation, and committing a felony while out on bail.

Sexton os being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Riverside Hall of Justice July 1.
