Sheriff’s officials make arrest in Valle Vista homicide

Officials from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit arrested a suspect accused of killing a man in the community of the Valle Vista.
On Tuesday, July 19, investigators began an investigation into the death of a man who was killed just after midnight in the 25600 block of Araucana Street.
Coroner’s officials identified the victim as Jason Robert Popovich, 35, of Beaumont.
By 9:30 p.m. the same day, homicide investigators had identified, located and arrested Noy Estel Boukes, 29, of San Jacinto for homicide. Boukes was out of prison on parole when he was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder.
The homicide investigation began when deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the report of an assault occurring at the location. When they arrived, deputies discovered Popovich in the roadway. Popovich had “sustained traumatic injuries that caused his death,” Riverside sheriff’s Sergeant Jeff Buompensiero said shortly after the investigation began.
Homicide investigators quickly developed leads and information leading to Boukes’ arrest. He was arrested at the Hemet Sheriff’s Station after being taken there for questioning.
A jail record search revealed Boukes was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning the following morning. He was booked for murder with malice and violation of his parole. Boukes is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at an unspecified court July 22.

VALLE VISTA – Riverside Sheriff’s officials are investigating an early morning homicide that occurred in the 25600 block of Araucana Street in the community of the Valle Vista.
Araucana Street is a small cul-de-sac located off Palm Avenue. It is north of Florida Avenue and east of Lincoln Avenue.
Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the report of an assault occurring in the at the location Tuesday, July 19, at about 12:28 a.m.
When deputies arrived they located a white male adult in the roadway. The victim had “sustained traumatic injuries that caused his death,” according to Riverside sheriff’s Sergeant Jeff Buompensiero. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the location.
Based on the circumstances, investigators from the Hemet Station and Central Homicide Unit responded to the location and assumed the investigation.
The identity of the victim has not been released and is pending notification of his family.
“The suspect(s) are unknown at this time and no arrests have been made,” Buompensiero explained. “This is an active and ongoing investigation.”

Grow up. He was wrong he murdered his own friend ppl like that need to be put away they pose a risk of harming others even their own ppl. there is no loyalty in ppl like that and they pose the risk of danger to everyone!!!!!!!
No one should ever rot in jail … I know both Noy and Jason and Unfortunetely it ended this way they knew what lifestyle they signed up for from the beginning and now the family and friends or both men suffer…
