AB 109 compliance sweep nets 36 arrests, weapons, narcotics, stolen vehicle
HEMET/SAN JACINTO – A joint enforcement saturation and AB109 compliance operation was conducted in the Hemet and San Jacinto Valley September 1. The compliance sweep took place in the cities of Hemet, San Jacinto, and the unincorporated areas of Hemet.
The operation consisted of saturation patrol, attempt warrant services, and compliance checks on subjects on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), Mandatory Supervision, Parole, and Probation, according to Hemet Police Sergeant Bob Nishida, Commander of the Hemet/San Jacinto Gang Task Force Region 3 of the Riverside County of the Regional Gang Task Force.
“The operation consisted of 56 home compliance checks and numerous enforcement stops. The operation resulted in the arrest of 36 individuals, according to Nishida. “The operation also resulted in the recovery of 2 firearms, numerous rounds of ammunition, other weapons, a stolen motorcycle, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.”
Many of the wanted subjects were not located because they failed to provide accurate addresses. Arrest warrants have been obtained for those individuals. Their “arrests will be made,” Nishida assured.
