HEMET: Driver flees after 3 car pile-up

HEMET – On Monday Evening, 11-7-16, HPD, HFD, and AMR responded to a Multi-Vehicle, Hit and Run Traffic Collision on Florida x Gilmore.
Reporter Dillon M was on scene within 3 minutes of the collision, due to having heard the collision happen from his location on Florida x Kirby.
Upon arrival of our reporter, it was learned one of the vehicles involved had appeared to have fled the scene, and was located around the corner on Gilmore behind the Mattress store.
The Driver of the Corolla behind the Mattress store stated she did not have a valid Driver’s License, did not know what to do, was waiting for her Father-In-Law to arrive, and pleaded with our reporter to not mention or say anything about her location/her not having a license. She fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.
One victim was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated for injuries. Tow truck was also called to the scene.This story will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
