SAN JACINTO – A second accident involving a tractor-trailer rollover on the same road happened this evening, Friday, Dec. 9. The accident happened at a curve on Ramona Expressway east of N. Warren Road.

Wednesday’s rollover accident happened at the intersection of Ramona Expressway and N. Sanderson Avenue, less than two miles from where today’s big-rig rollover accident occurred.

The accident was report to Riverside County emergency dispatchers just before 5 p.m.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s San Jacinto Police station, Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters and AMR medics were dispatched to the scene of the solo-vehicle accident after multiple witnesses called 911 to report the overturned big-rig. The first deputy arrived on scene just one minute after the call was dispatched.

The rolled big-rig was left blocking all west bound lanes of traffic; however, all lanes of traffic on Ramona Expressway were later closed to allow tow/wreckers to winch the overturned big-rig back onto its wheels.

The driver of the semi-truck was evaluated by AMR medics at the scene. He declined further treatment.

Traffic remains backed up in both directions of Ramona Expressway and N. Warren Road is reportedly backed up for several miles, with traffic stopped all the way to Winchester.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

This is a developing story. Additional information will be added as it becomes available.
