COACHELLA: Man arrested for lewd acts with a minor

COACHELLA – Sheriff’s officials arrested a man Friday, Dec. 23, after an investigation into allegations of lewd acts with a minor. The alleged suspect was arrested in the 52-000 block of Las Palmas in Coachella.

Maximino Rebollar Velasquez was arrested after an investigation he molested a child.

Sheriff’s investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Thermal station began the investigation Thursday, Dec. 22, according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Jessica Vanderhoof.

After their investigation, investigators located and arrested Maximino Rebollar Velasquez, 59, of Coachella. He was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.

A jail record search revealed Velasquez was booked on suspicion of unlawful sex with a minor, two counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child, and sexual penetration by force; all felonies. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Indio Larson Justice Center Thursday, Dec. 28.
