MORENO VALLEY: Woman arrested for attempted murder after stabbing
MORENO VALLEY – A woman was arrested for attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed a man Thursday, Feb. 9. The early-morning incident happened just after midnight at a residence in the 23000 block of Hemlock Avenue in Moreno Valley.
Tammera Bruns was arrested for attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed a man.
“After a thorough investigation, Tammera Jean Bruns, 47 years of Moreno Valley, was arrested for attempted murder and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center,” according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant James Rayls.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Moreno Valley Police station responded to the residence after emergency dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a stabbing at the location.
When deputies arrived they found the victim suffering from a serious stab wound. Deputies also located the suspect, who was identified as Bruns, at the home. She was detained without incident and held for further questioning and investigation.
Firefighter/paramedics treated the victim at the scene before AMR medics transported him to an area hospital.
“He was rushed into surgery and is listed in critical condition,” Rayls explained.
Investigators from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded and assumed the investigation, which is active and ongoing.
Officials have not specified if Bruns was related to the victim she allegedly stabbed.
An online jail records search revealed Bruns is being held without bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned at the Riverside Hall of Justice Jan. 14.
