Officials asking for public’s help locating missing man, last seen in Anza

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help locating a missing person who disappeared “under suspicious circumstances and may have met with foul play,” according to sheriff’s officials. The missing man is believed to have been last seen in the community of Anza in February.

The man, identified as Daniel Joseph Frank Foster, 28, of Fallbrook, was reported missing by family members March 3, according to Riverside Sheriff’s Lieutenant Paul Bennett, who described Foster as a white male, 6’03”, 180 Lbs., with blond hair and blue eyes.

According to family members, Foster has not been seen or heard from since early February. He has not been responding to family or friends since his disappearance and his cell phone goes directly to a recording that says he is not available.

The missing man’s mother, Nancy Foster, described her son as, “Kind, generous and compassionate.”

“Danny is a good man who may have gotten involved with bad people,” Foster’s mother explained. “He was trying to find some peace, but he got lost along the way.”

“I’m desperate for answers. I just want to know my son is alive,” Foster’s mother said. “Any information, no matter how minor, would help,”

Investigators from the San Diego Sheriff’s Department have been searching for Foster in their county since he was reported missing.

During their investigation, San Diego sheriff’s officials developed leads and gathered information leading them to believe Foster may have been seen in the Anza area in late February.

San Diego sheriff’s officials requested assistance from Riverside County sheriff’s investigators, at which time they joined the ongoing investigation.

Anyone who has information or leads regarding Foster’s whereabouts, is encouraged to immediately contact Investigator Stites from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Investigations Bureau at (951) 233-4795 or by email. Callers can refer to incident file number R170930005 and can remain anonymous. Citizens may also submit a tip using the Sheriff’s CrimeTips online form. Callers can refer to incident file number 17111315 and can remain anonymous. Those with information can also contact the San Diego County Sheriff’s office at (760) 806-5352.
