PERRIS: Meadowbrook man arrested after shooting man in head during argument

PERRIS — A man accused of shooting a Meadowbrook resident in the head and then later brandishing a handgun during a second, unrelated incident, was arrested shortly after the Sunday, May 28 shooting. The shooting happened at the victim’s residence in the 22000 block of Shaw Court, in an unincorporated area of Meadowbrook, southwest of Perris.

After he was shot in the head, the victim, whose name was withheld by authorities, managed to make his way to another residence nearly two miles away, where a person called 911.

The shooting victim was rushed to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, according to sheriff’s officials.

After the victim was transported to a hospital, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Lake Elsinore Station responded to the scene of the shooting on Shaw Court.

When they arrived, deputies located evidence of the shooting. During their investigation, deputies learned the incident began as a disagreement between Jordan and the victim. Officials did not specify the nature of the disagreement that led to the shooting.

As the conflict escalated the suspect allegedly shot the victim in the head, then left the location, Brosche said.

While securing the crime scene, Riverside County emergency dispatchers received another 911 call from a witness reporting that Jordan was brandishing a handgun in the 27000 block of Theda Street, east of where the shooting happened.

During their investigation, officials identified Jordan as the suspect involved in both alleged incidents.

Based on the circumstances, Lake Elsinore Station investigators assumed the investigation. Investigators served a search warrant at Jordan’s residence. During the service of the warrant, investigators located evidence linking Jordan to the shooting, according to Brosche.

After serving the search warrant, investigators arrested Jordan. He was taken into custody without incident.

Based on their investigation and victim and witness statements, officials arrested Frank William Jordan, 23, of Meadowbrook. He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon resulting in great bodily injury, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Steve Brosche explained in a written press release after the incident and arrest.

Jordan remains in custody, held on $1 million dollars bail and he is scheduled to be arraigned at the Riverside Hall Of Justice June 1.
