RIVERSIDE: Knife-wielding man arrested after alleged robbery
RIVERSIDE — Authorities tracked down and arrested a man who allegedly robbed a person at knife-point yesterday afternoon. The robbery happened Wednesday, August 9, in the 9200 block of Magnolia Avenue, west of Jackson Street, in Riverside.

After an investigation, Riverside police officers arrested Frankie William Viera, 22, of Riverside. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of armed robbery.
Officers responded to the location about 4:44 p.m., after City of Riverside emergency dispatchers received a 911 call from the victim reporting the armed robbery.
When they arrived, officials interviewed the victim and obtained a description of the suspect. While the investigating officers gathered information from the robbery victim, other officers converged on the area and began searching for the alleged suspect.
During their investigation officers learned the suspect, who was later identified as Viera, “had approached the victim with a knife and demanded money,” according to a Riverside police official, who wrote, “The victim complied with the demand and the suspect fled the location.”
Officers quickly located and detained Viera on Everest Street, one block west of where the alleged robbery happened. He was apprehended without incident.
An online jail records search revealed Viera remains in custody, held on $30,000 bail, and he is scheduled to be arraigned at the Riverside Hall of Justice Aug. 11.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 13 – soon to be 14 – grandchildren.
