SAN JACINTO: Three injured in two-vehicle, rollover traffic accident
SAN JACINTO — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle, rollover, traffic accident Tuesday, Aug. 16. The collision happened at the intersection of N. State Street and Cottonwood Avenue/N. Brinton Street in San Jacinto.
Sheriff’s deputies, fire officials and paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the accident at 3:33 p.m., after several other motorists and witnesses called 911 to report the crash.
When law enforcement and medical personnel arrived at the scene, they found two heavily damaged vehicles with vehicle parts and debris strewn across the roadway. Although two ambulances were initially dispatched to the collision, officials requested an additional ambulance respond to the location to assist with those injured in the crash.
Three victims were later transported to area hospitals for treatment of their various injuries, which were described as minor to moderate.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s San Jacinto Police Station investigated the cause of the collision. Their investigation revealed a white SUV struck a white Honda Passport as it traveled through the intersection. The impact between the two vehicles caused the Honda to overturn.
N. Brinton Street was temporarily closed to through traffic while officials investigated the cause of the collision and the damaged vehicles were removed from the road.
Officials have not yet determined who was at fault in the accident, which is still under investigation.
No further updates were provided regarding those injured in the crash.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 13 – soon to be 14 – grandchildren.
