HEMET: 6-year-old hospitalized after hit by car in residential neighborhood
HEMET — A young child was hospitalized after he was hit by a car earlier this evening. The accident happened on Mayflower Place, east of N. Mayflower Street, in a residential neighborhood lined by rows of apartments.

City of Hemet Police and Fire Departments along with other emergency first responders were dispatched to Mayflower Place just before 5 p.m., after receiving a 911 call reporting the accident. The caller advised that the 6-year-old was still on the ground but was alert and responsive.
Officials began arriving at the scene within moments pf the dispatched call and immediately began assessing the victim’s injuries. Medical personnel requested Mercy Air to the scene; however, due to an extended ETA for the air ambulance, American Medical Response medics rushed the victim to an area hospital for further treatment.
No information was immediately available regarding the nature or extent of the child’s injuries and Hemet PD’s investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
