BEAUMONT: 3 arrested after multi-agency investigation leads to drugs, weapons
BEAUMONT — Reports of a possible burglary in progress led to the discovery of nearly 400 pounds of marijuana and numerous “illegal assault weapons” as well as a stolen handgun, Thursday, Apr. 19.

After an investigation Beaumont police officers arrested 31-year-old, Peter Vang and 32-year-old, Singxay Vang, both of Fresno, and 31-year-old Beaumont resident, Seng Pha.
Vang and Singxay were booked on suspicion of transportation of marijuana and Pha was booked on suspicion of felony child endangerment. All three were booked into Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.
Beaumont police officers were dispatched to a home on the 1400 block of Currant Way, after receiving a 911 call from a citizen reporting a suspicious male looking into cars.
An officer who arrived within minutes spotted two men running from a residence toward a pickup truck parked nearby and officers detained the two men for further investigation.
A Beaumont PD K-9 that responded to the scene alerted on the men’s truck and a subsequent search of the vehicle yielded about 143 lbs. of marijuana, according to Beaumont PD. All of the marijuana was packaged for sale.
Based on the discovery, Beaumont PD sought and obtained a search warrant for the residence the men had fled from and Riverside County Central Post-Release Accountability Compliance Team, Riverside County Pass Area Gang Task Force members, Beaumont Multiple Enforcement Team, and others served the warrant at the home.
“A search of the residence revealed approximately 249 lbs of marijuana and numerous illegal assault weapons including one stolen hand gun,” said Beaumont PD, whose investigation, which is being assisted by ATF and Child Protective Services, is ongoing.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
