SAN JACINTO: Wienerschnitzel final map approved for San Jacinto Ave. development

San Jacinto — The City of San Jacinto City Council approved on Tuesday, June 5, the final map to subdivide 1.37 acres creating two parcels and pave the way for a new Wienerschitzel to begin development.

The project will be added to the City’s other recent accomplishments, which have included the addition of a Starbucks – opened just last week – and a new Aldi Grocery Store, which recently broke ground.

The project, which was approved by the City’s Planning Commission last September, consists of a 1,245 square-foot, freestanding, drive-thru restaurant on the southeast corner of San Jacinto and Esplanade Avenues in San Jacinto.

According to City officials, the new additions mark a “renaissance of new retail establishments” along San Jacinto Avenue.

“The City is excited to welcome Wienerschnitzel, the World’s Largest Hot Dog Chain, to San Jacinto,” City Manager Rob Johnson recently explained. “With Starbucks, Aldi Grocer, and now Wienerschnitzel coming to town within three months of each other, San Jacinto is definitely one of the hottest retail markets around and experiencing attention from a regional perspective.”

“Our housing starts are continuing to set records for us this calendar year that exceed those over the past 10 years,” Johnson continued, “which is a great economic indicator for our retail recruitment success.”

“Keep your eyes on San Jacinto,” stated Johnson, “because we are quickly becoming the go to City for development of all types, shapes, sizes, and kinds.”
