Red Bluff traffic stop leads to over $2 million in meth, 2 arrested

RED BLUFF — A traffic stop in Tehama County yesterday led to the seizure of more than $2 million in methamphetamine, according to CHP-Red Bluff. Two people were arrested and remain in jail on multiple felony charges.

According to a CHP social media release, officers stopped the vehicle as it was traveling through Tehama County. The traffic enforcement stop resulted in the seizure of nearly 80 pounds of methamphetamine. CHP later estimated the street value of the drugs to be more than $2 million.

Tehama County jail records indicated CHP arrested two people during their investigation; 19-year-old, Carlos Aldair Zepeda and 30-year-old, Noemi Marin Beltran. Both alleged suspects were booked into Tehama County Jail on suspicion of transportation of a controlled substance and transportation of a controlled substance for sales. Zepeda was also booked for driving with a suspended license.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
