Officials searching for suspects after hit and run involving motorcycle

HEMET — Authorities are searching for a couple driving a white car after the pair was involved in a hit and run collision with a woman riding a motorcycle in Hemet. The injury crash happened earlier this evening in the area of E. Whittier Ave. and San Jacinto St.

City of Hemet Police and Fire Departments, along with other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene shortly before 7 p.m., after receiving reports of the collision. 911 callers reported a female rider was down in the roadway and appeared injured.

When officials arrived they found the motorcyclist at the scene, near a silver motorcycle that remained down in the roadway. After being evaluated and treated, paramedics transported the woman to an area hospital for further treatment.

Official radio traffic after the collision indicated officers were possibly searching for a white car occupied by an adult male and female, who remain unidentified as of this report.

Officials have not released the nature or extent of the victim’s injuries and their investigation is active and ongoing.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
