ALDI announces San Jacinto Grand Opening set for Dec. 6

SAN JACINTO — Grocery shopping in the San Jacinto valley is soon to get smarter, faster, and easier, according to ALDI executives who confirmed to RCNS today that San Jacinto’s newest grocery store will be opening Dec. 6.

ALDI’s San Jacinto Grand Opening festivities, which begin at 8 a.m, will include an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, Golden Ticket giveaway to the first 100 shoppers, produce for a year sweepstakes, ALDI reusable eco-friendly bag giveaway, and sampling of ALDI exclusive brand products.

Since the day the City of San Jacinto announced ALDI’s plans to open the store, area residents have been clamoring for details about the retailer; excited to experience the company’s innovative approach to grocery shopping and all the latest ALDI has to offer, including new items recently announced as part of their national product expansion.

Some of those new products include private-label items such as kombucha, veggie noodles, organic meats, kale and quinoa crunch burgers, gluten-free bagels, and more.

Like all their new stores, ALDI’s 19,056 square foot building at the intersection of San Jacinto Ave. and Commonwealth is different by design and meant to give customers the best possible grocery shopping experience.

“ALDI stores are designed to make life easier for people,” said Tom Cindel, Moreno Valley Division Group Director of Operations and Logistics for ALDI.

Featuring open ceilings, natural lighting, and environmentally friendly building materials, ALDI’s layout provides an improved in-store experience and features additional refrigeration space to accommodate even more fresh, healthy, and convenient products.

“We offer high-quality foods at affordable prices and a streamlined shopping experience unlike anything else,” Cindel explained. “From our award-winning products, to trendy, fresh, and healthy options, we’re focused on carrying a selection that has something for everyone.”

ALDI says that compared to last year, 20 percent of their product selection is new and the company is increasing its fresh food selection by 40 percent with many organic, convenient, and easy-to-prepare options.

Their recent product expansion is the next stage of the company’s accelerated growth plan, building on its more than $5 billion investment to remodel and expand its store count to 2,500 by the end of 2022.

According to ALDI, a few ways their company provides value to its customers include offering a streamlined selection of “the best options at the best prices that remove the guesswork from shopping,” making the hottest food trends affordable and accessible, and carrying a variety of award-winning products.

The retailer is also always exploring ways to make grocery shopping easier for their customers such as simplifying operations, offering online grocery delivery service via Instacart, providing .25-cent grocery cart rentals, and asking customers to bag their own groceries.

ALDI is one of the fastest-growing retailers in the U.S. and was recently recognized as a 2018 National Top Workplace by Energage for the second consecutive year and has been named to the Forbes list of “America’s Best Large Employers” four years in a row.

The retailer offers its staff market-leading salaries and benefits and as part of their aggressive expansion plans is adding 25,000 new jobs in stores, warehouses and offices nationwide by the end of 2022.

ALDI’s San Jacinto store is located at 1667 S. San Jacinto Ave. After their Dec. 6 grand opening, the store will be open every day of the week, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
