Officers investigating after argument leads to shots fired at Redding motel
REDDING — Officers are asking for help identifying several subjects who became involved in a verbal argument that led to at least one gunshot being fired at a Redding motel Tuesday, Nov. 20. The altercation and shooting happened at Motel 6 at 1250 Twin View Blvd.

Redding police officers were dispatched to the motel about 7:20 p.m., after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a “verbal argument” between at least three people, followed by a gun being discharged, Redding Police Corporal Harris later explained.
Although all the involved subjects fled the scene before officer’s arrival, witnesses were able to provide descriptions of two vehicles leaving the scene, one of which is pictured here.
The vehicles were described as a 2014, Kia Optima with Texas license plate DCS2369. The other car was described as a brown Honda Civic two door. The suspects were described as White or Hispanic men.
Investigating officers located evidence at the scene that confirmed a single shot was fired, striking the door frame of an unoccupied room.
No one was injured as a result of the shooting and the suspects are outstanding.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
