Deputies assigned to City of Norco’s Special Enforcement Team initially arrested Kevin Anthony Galvan, 29, for an unspecified felony warrant, Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. Robert Torres later reported.
Because Galvan was already on Riverside County probation for burglary, SET deputies conducted a probation compliance check at his residence and discovered Galvan was in possession of counterfeiting equipment.
“Several hundred dollars of counterfeit bills” were also discovered and seized, according to Torres.
Galvan was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of two counts of possession of forged bills, possession of counterfeit bill producing plates, possession of fictitious checks, and false impersonation, all felonies. He was also booked on misdemeanor counts of burglary, possession of forged bills, and two counts of failure to appear or pay a fine. Jail records indicate he remains in custody in lieu of $250,000 bail.
