Like a scene from the movie Groundhog Day, some re-offenders just keep popping up
Submitted by Riverside Police Department
RIVERSIDE, Calif. — We’d like to tell you all about the 30 suspects we arrested over the weekend and the thousands of calls our officers and dispatchers handled, but there’s not enough characters in a social media post. But here are four whose favorite holiday must be today. Why? Because they keep reoffending like it’s Groundhog Day.
LEADING THE RCNS HEADLINES:
UPDATE: Suspects arrested after San Jacinto car to car shooting that killed pregnant dog
Pair arrested after Hemet WaBa Grill burglary – Thousands in cash, property recovered
Search for man who sexually assaulted woman at Temecula business continuing
“Discarded in the trash”, more details released after infant found dead in Perris
Riverside County Sex Trafficking Operation yields more than 60 arrests
First up is Jared Smith, 33-years-old of Riverside, who was arrested on a fugitive warrant out of Louisiana. He must’ve thought that it was safer in California, but now he’s sitting in jail being held without bail.
Next up is Jose Servin, 24-years-old of Riverside, who thought his artistic talents would look great on an apartment complex wall. Maybe he forgot you should ask for permission first, especially when you’re on probation. Anyway, he was booked into jail for multiple crimes including weapons & probation violations, and being held on $50,000 bail.
Let’s turn our attention to James Gonzalez, 29-years-old of Hemet, who is a documented gang member and parolee. Mr. Gonzalez must’ve felt bad for having a gun that wasn’t his because he gave it to us for safekeeping. Not really but needless to say, he was booked into jail and is being held without bail.
Finally we have Isaac Galdamez, 27-years-old of Perris, who was actually very cooperative when our officers searched his vehicle. I bet he was hoping they wouldn’t find the gun, drugs, and stolen mail. But they did and now he’s in jail being held on $75,000 bail.
Even though our officers love getting repeat offenders off our streets, maybe these guys need to find a new favorite holiday other than Groundhog Day… what do you think?
