Five arrested at known drug house, “active POP project” – Home deemed uninhabitable, shuttered

ANDERSON, Calif. — Authorities say reports of a disturbance at a known Anderson drug house led to the arrest of four people and the home being declared uninhabitable Friday evening, June 2.

Officials have since described the residence, located In the 3200 block of Crest Drive, as “currently an active project of the Problem Oriented Police Unit (POP) … due to its ongoing narcotic related activity.”

City of Anderson police officers were dispatched to the home around 9:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a disturbance at the home, Anderson PD officials later said in a social media release.

While at the residence officers contacted the followings subjects:

-Shirley Ann Clemens (age 35 of Anderson)
-Gary Dean Clemens (age 52 of Anderson)
-Tiffany Renee Cornell-Hansen (age 31 of Redding)
-Nathan Christopher Lafferty (age 29 of Napa)
-Terry Lee Crosley Jr. (age 25 of Redding)

During their investigation, officers learned Crosley was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and admitted to living at the residence. Based on Crosley’s probation status, a search of the residence was conducted at which time officers located drug paraphernalia littered throughout the residence.

The residence also had numerous code violations and was later deemed uninhabitable by Anderson Code Enforcement.

An extensive investigation was conducted and it was determined that both Gary Clemens and Shirley Clemens had control of the residence.

“Under Miranda, Gary Clemens and Shirley Clemens separately admitted their residence was a place where narcotics were frequently used,” APD’s release explained.

Based on their investigation, officers arrested the couple for maintaining a residence for narcotics use. Tiffany Cornell-Hansen, Nathan Lafferty, and Terry Crosley Jr. were all placed under arrest for outstanding warrants.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
