Officials have said that at least twenty-three vehicles have already been identified as vandalized but have also said that more victims may have yet to be identified. The total reported damage to the nearly two-dozen vandalized vehicles is in excess of $4,600, according to officials.

City of Beaumont police officers began investigating the string of overnight vandalisms after emergency dispatchers began receiving multiple reports from residents reporting damage to their vehicles.
Investigating officers eventually located twenty-three different vehicles that had their tires slashed or punctured.
Officials say an unknown pair of vandals caused more than $4,600 in damages to nearly two dozen vehicles during the early morning hours of Dec. 27. Beaumont PD images
During their subsequent investigation, officers began gathering home surveillance videos that showed two people vandalizing the vehicles between the early morning hours of 1 a.m. and 2 a.m.
“One subject appears to be a female wearing a black hooded jacket, possibly white or light-colored leggings and black boots,” Beaumont PD officials said in a subsequent social media release asking for information about the suspects. “The second subject appears to be a male wearing a short-sleeved black shirt, black pants or jeans, and black shoes.”
One of the victims of the overnight vandalisms who contacted RCNS after discovering that three of her car’s tires had been slashed lamented the vandalisms, saying, “It just doesn’t make sense why someone would go through my neighborhood randomly slashing tires – especially right after Christmas.”
“I am broke right now,” the single mother of three explained on the condition of anonymity; saying that she has no money to pay for her tires to be replaced so soon after Christmas.
“Yeah, I do have a spare, but just one,” she continued; asking, “So, what am I supposed to do now? How am I supposed to get to work tomorrow?”
“It’s just not fair,” she added sadly.
Anyone with further information about this investigation, or who knows the identity and/or whereabouts of the two alleged vandals captured on surveillance video is encouraged to contact the Beaumont PD On-Duty Watch Commander at (951) 768-8500.
