No injuries reported after Wildomar fire leaves home heavily damaged
WILDOMAR, Calif., — Authorities say no injuries were reported after a residential structure fire left a Wildomar home significantly damaged yesterday afternoon, Monday, Jan. 31. The destructive blaze occurred in the 34000 block of Orange Street, south of Bundy Canyon Road and west of Interstate 15.

Cal Fire – Riverside and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene around 3:32 p.m. after receiving reports of an active fire burning inside a private residence.

When officials arrived, they reported finding heavy smoke and fire emanating from a single-story, single-family residence with threat to adjacent homes and initiated an aggressive attack on the blaze.
Firefighters made quick work extinguishing the fire, with successful knockdown reported at 4:02 p.m.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire and no other homes were directly affected.

Although the cause of the fire has not yet been reported, firefighters were seen pulling a heavily damaged dryer through a window of the home after the fire was brought under control.
Firefighters remained at the scene for the next hour, while they conducted salvage and overhaul of the damaged home.

He was medically retired after losing his leg, breaking his back, and suffering both spinal cord and brain injuries in an off-duty accident. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
