AMR EMT accused of sexually assaulting teen in back of ambulance during medical transport

TEMECULA, Calif., — Authorities say an AMR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) was arrested after allegations of sexual assault surfaced against him Friday, March 25. The alleged incident occurred during a medical aid call within the city of Temecula while the underage victim was being transported in the back of an ambulance to an unspecified hospital.

Officials have since said they believe the suspect, 22-year-old, Jason Dean Anderson, of Wildomar, may have victimized other patients during transport and have asked that any other potential victims contact them immediately.

Deputies from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station began investigating allegations that an AMR EMT had sexually assaulted a teenage victim and propositioned the victim for sex acts during a medical transport call, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Frank Tiburzio said after yesterday’s arrest.

Due to the sensitive nature of their ongoing investigation, officials did not specify the victim’s gender or age, why the victim was being transported, or where the victim was being transported to.

“It is alleged that while on-duty in the back of an ambulance, Jason Anderson sexually assaulted and solicited sexual acts from the teenage patient during a medical transport,” explained Tiburzio.

Based on their investigation, officials arrested Anderson at his Tanisha Court home in Wildomar, and he was later booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of sexual battery and sexual penetration by force.

Online jail records indicate he was released the day after his arrest after posting $75,000 bail or bond.
