Local trio arrested in fatal Riverside shooting investigation
RIVERSIDE, Calif., — Authorities say three men have been arrested for their alleged involvement in an early morning shooting that killed a man in the Arlanza neighborhood of Riverside last month.
Officials had previously identified 25-year-old Eric Flores of Riverside as the victim killed in the shooting, which occurred in the 10000 block of Gould Street.

City of Riverside police and detectives began investigating the shooting at around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, after responding to numerous reports of gunfire, Riverside PD has since reported.
Officers located Flores inside the truck and determined he had been shot multiple times. Although paramedics responded to the location, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Unit and Gang Intelligence Unit, along with Specialists from the Forensics Unit, responded and assumed the investigation, with assistance from the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office.
During their investigation, detectives began gathering information and developing leads that ultimately led them to identifying 18-year-old Justin Figueroa, 21-year-old Jacob Quiroz, and 25-year-old David Jose Martinez, all of Riverside, as being involved in the murder.
With assistance from the Riverside Police Department’s METRO Team, West PACT Team (Post-release Accountability & Compliance Team), Gang Intelligence Unit, and the Riverside County District Attorney’s Gang Impact Team, all three suspects were located and arrested last Thursday, April 14.
After their arrest, all three men were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Online jail records indicate Figueroa and Quiroz are being held without bail while Martinez is being held on $1 million bail or bond.
The investigation is still ongoing and there no further details have been released.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
