Temecula Resident Arrested For Stabbing At Pechanga Casino

On Wednesday, December 2, a Temecula resident stabbed a man during a violent confrontation at the Pechanga Casino, located in the city of Temecula. The alleged suspect, later identified was later detained while in a vehicle being driven in San Diego County.

At about 12:05 a.m., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Southwest Station were dispatched to the casino regarding the report of an assault with a deadly weapon.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 41-year-old unidentified male suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds. Emergency first responders treated the victim before transporting him to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Terral Bloomquist, 22-years-old of Temecula, arrested for Assault With A Deadly Weapon that occurred at the Pechanga Casino in Temecula.

Soon after the broadcast, deputies from the San Diego Sheriff’s Department located the suspect’s truck being driven in San Diego County. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and detained the vehicle’s three occupants without incident.

Deputies and investigators from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station picked up and returned the occupants of the vehicle back to Riverside County. The three occupants were taken to the Southwest Sheriff’s Station, where they were interviewed regarding their involvement in the incident.

Based on those interviews and statements made by the victim, investigators determined one there were two separate incidents, but one specific suspect was responsible for the stabbing.

Their investigation determined one of the occupants from the vehicle was alone at the casino when he and the victim got into a confrontation. It was not specified if that altercation was verbal or physical in nature.

Shortly after the confrontation, the vehicle, described as a truck, arrived at the casino with the other two occupants.

A male from inside the truck, identified as 22-year-old Terral Bloomquist of Temecula, exited the vehicle and got into a physical altercation with the victim. During the altercation, Bloomquist pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.

After stabbing the victim, Bloomquist, fled in the truck with the other two occupants.

Based on their investigation, investigators arrested Bloomquist for assault with a deadly weapon. He was later booked at the Southwest Detention Center.

A previous news report from Dan Cupido of Procinto Reporting Venue identified Bloomquist for his arrest in a March 16 incident. In that reported arrest, Boomquist, a felon, was allegedly found to be in possession of not one, but two firearms. That incident and arrest reportedly occurred during an active burglary investigation on Felix Valdez Ave and Sixth St in the city of Temecula.

  • There’s sure been a lot of crime in Temecula lately. Its a shame to see such a family friendly community being infiltrated by criminals.
    And the casino seems to be connected somehow. But as long as people keep their rose colored glasses on it’ll never get better.

    • Ya blame the casino…it’s like blaming a gun manufacturer for some dumb ass using one….

  • I blame ALL relatively recent surges in crime to the passage of Prop. 47 and Prison Realignment.
    I can’t think of any propositions more dangerous to the overall safety of the regular citizen population than THAT.

    We just let loose a bunch of criminals!
    We now have dangerous thugs running loose among us that should still be incarcerated.
    They were dangerous criminals when they were first locked up.
    They are still dangerous criminals NOW.
    Did we REALLY expect otherwise????
