SAN JACINTO VALLEY: Multi-agency AB 109 (PRCS) compliance sweep yields 23 arrests

SAN JACINTO VALLEY – Law enforcement officials from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Hemet Station hosted a saturation sweep today, with numerous agencies and local law enforcement teams conducting compliance checks on subjects currently released from jail on AB 109 Post Release Community Supervision and Probation.

The compliance checks were conducted in the unincorporated area of the San Jacinto Valley as well as locations within the cities of San Jacinto and Hemet. The sweep resulted in eleven felony and twelve misdemeanor arrests. According to Sgt. Brian Reno, arrests included active arrest warrants for a variety of offenses, violations of Post Release Community Supervision, and probation violations.

Three different Post-Release Accountability and Compliance Teams (PACT East, PACT Central and PACT West), came together with several Riverside County Gang Task Force Teams, including the team based in the San Jacinto Valley, the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team and the Jurupa Valley Station Special Enforcement Team. The different teams all worked together in the highly coordinated, multi-agency effort.

The PACT and Gang Task Force Units are comprised of law enforcement personnel from multiple agencies, including Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, Riverside County Probation, Beaumont Police Department, Cathedral City Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, California Department of Corrections, Corona Police Department, Hemet Police Department, Murrieta Police Department, Riverside Police Department, and U.S. Border Patrol.
