Two arrested after fleeing during Riverside probation search

RIVERSIDE – Riverside Police officials arrested two men while conducting a probation search Tuesday, May 17, after the pair allegedly attempted to flee from the residence where the probation search occurred, according to a police official. The probation search and foot pursuit occurred in the 3900 block of Overland Street, in Riverside.

The two suspects were identified as Juan Arellano Millan, 24, and Ivan Dominguez-Rosas, 25. Both are from Riverside. Both suspects were later booked into Robert Presley Detention Center for several weapons charges and gang enhancements.

At about 6:35 p.m., the West Post Release Accountability and Compliance Team (PACT) responded to the residence to conduct a probation search.

While officers were approaching the residence, they saw two subjects fleeing out of the home through a side door of the residence. While PACT members chased two men, one of the two discarded a loaded firearm.

After a short foot pursuit, PACT members apprehended Miller and Dominguez-Rosas. Both subjects were detained without further incident.

Officers determined the firearm had been stolen from the City of Riverside.

Gang Investigators responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation. During a search of the residence, additional rounds of ammunition and indications of gang involvement were located and seized as evidence.

A jail records search revealed Millan was booked for suspicion of possession of a loaded firearm, committing a felony while a member of a criminal street gang and carrying a concealed firearm, all are felonies. He was also charged with possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor.

Millan was released the following day after posting $35,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Riverside Hall of Justice, July 19.

Dominguez-Rosas was booked for suspicion of committing a felony while a member of a criminal street gang and being a felon in possession of ammunition. Both are felonies.
