Three teens arrested in Temecula, $4,000 in jewelry recovered

TEMECULA – Deputies arrested three teens Wednesday, May 18, accused of burglarizing numerous homes throughout the Temecula and Murrieta valley, according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Chris Gaskins. Deputies assigned to the Temecula Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Team and Special Enforcement Team were on proactive patrol when they contacted the three alleged suspects in the 41000 block of Moreno Rd, in Temecula.

While speaking with the three individuals, who were later identified as Brenden Deleon-Crombie, 18, Christian Castro, 18, and a 17-year-old male juvenile, deputies learned Castro and the male juvenile both provided false names to officers.

Deputies conducted a records check that revealed Castro was on felony probation out of Riverside County. Deputies also learned that Deleon-Crombie was a suspect in an attempted residential burglary that occurred in the City of Temecula in April 2016.

During their investigation, deputies conducted a search of Deleon-Crombie’s vehicle and found “an extensive amount of men’s and women’s jewelry that is believed to stolen from the Temecula and Murrieta areas and valued at over $4000,” Gaskins wrote in a press release.

Following their investigation, Deputies arrested all three teens for a variety of charges.

Castro was booked into the Southwest Detention Center for providing false identification to a Peace Officer and a violation of probation.

Deleon-Crombie was booked into the Southwest Detention Center for attempted residential burglary.

The juvenile male was booked into the Southwest Juvenile Hall for providing false identification to a peace officer.
