Foul Play suspected in death of Moreno Valley man

MORENO VALLEY – Deputies and investigators are conducting a suspicious death investigation at a residence in the 14000 block of Vinehill Street in Moreno Valley, according to a sheriff official.The investigation began Wednesday, July 27.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Moreno Valley Police Station responded to the residence at about 2:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 phone tip about the dead man, according to Sergeant Wallace Clear.

“Deputies arrived within minutes and were led by the reporting party to the deceased male inside,” Clear said.

“Based on evidence discovered at the scene, investigators from the Moreno Valley Police Department and the Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation which is still on-going,” Clear explained

Foul play is suspected in the victim’s death and his identity is being withheld pending notification of the man’s family.
