Four hospitalized after Moreno Valley RTA bus collision

MORENO VALLEY – Four people were injured when an RTA bus was involved in a traffic collision with a passenger vehicle Thursday, August 25, according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant W. Stens. The accident happened at the intersection of Frederick Street and Towngate Boulevard in Moreno Valley.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Moreno Valley Police Station responded to a report of the collision at at 6:16 a.m.

Deputies arrived within minutes of the dispatched call and discovered an RTA bus carrying eight passengers was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen.

“Four passengers from the RTA bus were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries,” according to Stens. “Neither driver suffered injuries requiring immediate medical attention.”

“Alcohol does not appeared to be a contributing factor in this collision,” Stens wrote in a press release about the incident.
