SAN JACINTO: Deputies investigating drive by shooting
SAN JACINTO – Multiple gunshots fired at a home in the 200 Block of East 6th Street near S. Sheriff Avenue in San Jacinto rattled nerves and left residents feeling frightened to leave their homes Saturday, Sept. 17.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s San Jacinto Police Station rushed to the scene of the shooting at about 8:18 p.m. after receiving several 911 calls reporting gunshots fired at an occupied residence, according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Bill Guimont
Deputies arrived within minutes and determined several gunshots were fired at an occupied residence. No injuries related to the shooting were reported, Guimont wrote in a press release about the incident.
Witnesses told investigating deputies the suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a black, older model Honda Civic.
Deputies searched for the suspect, however they were not able to locate anyone related to the shooting.
During their investigation, deputies located several shell casings, which were documented and collected as evidence.

Trevor Montgomery spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg in an off-duty accident.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 11 (soon to be 12) grandchildren.
