JURUPA VALLEY: Two shot, 1 killed in shooting at residence

JURUPA VALLEY – One man was killed and another suffered critical injuries after a shooting in the 6000 block of Bonhill Street, Jurupa Valley Wednesday, September 21.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Jurupa Valley Police Station responded to reports of the shooting that occurred at a residence at 10:14 p.m.

“Deputies arrived and located two adult males who suffered gunshot wounds,” according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Wallace Clear.

One male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has not been identified, pending notification of his family.

Paramedics treated the other shooting victim at the scene before they transported him to an area hospital for further treatment for his gunshot wounds. He is expected to survive, according to Clear.

The alleged suspect responsible for the shooting reportedly fled the area in a dark colored sedan, according to witnesses. The shooter has not been identified.

Based on the circumstances, investigators from the Jurupa Valley Station and the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit were called to the scene and assumed the investigation which is still active and ongoing.
