VALLE VISTA: Two injured, 1 life-flighted after vehicle vs. moped collision

VALLE VISTA – Two people were injured, one severely, when a vehicle smashed into a moped in the area of Mayberry Avenue and Anawood Place Wednesday, Oct. 2. The accident was reported at 1:26 p.m.

California Highway Patrol officers, Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters and other emergency first responders responded to the scene of the major traffic collision involving a vehicle and a moped.

When officers and firefighters arrived at the scene of the accident, they found two people who had been injured in the crash. One of the victims sustained major traumatic injuries and was transported by Mercy Air to a local hospital, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer Jody Hagemann.

A second victim who sustained minor injuries was evaluated by paramedics at the scene and transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

 

CHP officers are conducting an investigation into this traffic collision.

Trevor Montgomery spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg in an off-duty accident.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
