HEMET: Runaway arrested after dangerous pursuit
HEMET – A person who was listed as a runaway juvenile was taken into custody after he led police on a dangerous motorcycle pursuit through city streets Friday, Nov. 4.
During the wild pursuit, the subject fled without regard for the safety of other citizens or pursuing officers.
Officers reported seeing the motorcyclist traveling on the wrong side of the road, driving into oncoming traffic, running through red lights and stop signs, fleeing through residential yards, and racing along sidewalks in an effort to elude pursuing officers.
After he was taken into custody, officers determined the suspect, who has not been identified, was listed as a runaway out of Riverside County. He had been listed as a runaway since 2014. It was not specified if the suspect was still a minor or was an adult.
The pursuit began in the area of Florida Avenue and State Street about 5:15 p.m. and wound its way through the city, heading eastbound. The motorcyclist was reportedly riding a red and white Kawasaki Ninja.
As the pursuit continued, the suspect circled several neighborhoods from Stanford Street to Marine Drive, before he finally wrecked in the area of Marine Drive and Dartmouth Street in Hemet. He was taken into custody without further incident.
Arresting officers reported a large crowd who were trying to intervene with the arrest process, causing numerous additional officers to flood into the area to assist with crowd and traffic control.
Hemet firefighter/paramedics and AMR medics responded to the location where the suspect was apprehended to evaluate him for injuries. He was later arrested by officers.

Anyone(s) and all who interfered with the arresting officers should/could have been arrested on the scene and taken to Downtown Riverside for booking ! But, Due to understaffing the Law Enforcement Agencies can not perform their due diligence. This POS should be held cuppable for all costs pertaining to this disrespectful stunt.
