MENIFEE: Family searches for missing loved one
MENIFEE – The family of a missing at-risk adult is seeking the public’s help in locating their loved one, who has been missing since the morning of Thursday, Oct. 27.
Paul Snyder, 46, is a longtime resident of Menifee. Brooke Snyder, Paul’s wife of nearly 25 years, is a teacher in the school district. Paul and Brooke have two daughters – one who is in high school and another who is expecting the family’s first grandchild this spring.
“Our family and friends have been out looking and to be honest we really thought he would be home by now,” Paul’s wife, Brooke Snyder wrote in a Wednesday Facebook post. “We are asking for help from anyone who has seen him or may see him please let us know! He is loved by many and we all want his safe return.”
According to his family, Paul suffers from mental health issues and has a severe heart condition, which both require medications. Paul’s family says he did not take any of his medications with him when he left his home last Thursday.
Paul was last seen by his family at their home near Evans Ranch Elementary School in Menifee. He could be getting around on a black and silver GT mountain bike and might be carrying a black backpack.
Paul’s family has filed a missing person’s report with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Menifee Police Station, and they have checked local hospitals and jails in their search.
“As you can imagine, this is extremely distressing for everyone who loves him and we’re hoping to make as many people aware as possible of his disappearance with the hope of him returning home safely,” Angela Bailey, a friend of the Snyder family said. “If he isn’t found by Friday, we may be organizing a search.”
Paul is described as 5’10” tall and weighs about 185 pounds.
Paul’s family has asked that anyone who believes they may have seen him somewhere or who believes they may have information on his whereabouts to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at (951) 210-1000 or after hours calls can be made to (951) 776-1099. Citizens may also submit a tip using the Sheriff’s CrimeTips online form.
