JURUPA VALLEY: Elderly woman hospitalized after near-drowning
JURUPA VALLEY – A woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition after she was found at the bottom of a pool Friday, Nov. 25. The woman was found about 1:08 p.m., at a residence in the 5900 block of Snowgrass Trail in Jurupa Valley.
The victim, who has not been identified, was described only as “elderly” by a fire official.
After the woman was pulled from the pool a person at the scene provided first aid with assistance from an emergency dispatcher, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer April Newman who explained, “CPR instructions were provided by the Fire Communications Dispatcher prior to firefighters arriving on scene.”
AMR medics transported the victim by ground ambulance to an area hospital. They were assisted by a firefighter/paramedic on board.
The victim’s current medical condition has not been updated and is not known at this time.

Trevor Montgomery spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg in an off-duty accident.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
