MEAD VALLEY: Pedestrian killed when struck by vehicle
MEAD VALLEY – Few details have been released after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Saturday, Dec. 10. The deadly accident happened at the intersection of Clark and Nance Streets in the unincorporated community of Mead Valley, according to a fire official.
The area where the accident occurred is west of I-215 and southwest of March Air Reserve Base.
Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters, CHP officers, sheriff’s deputies, and other emergency first responders were dispatched to the scene of the fatal accident about 8:56 p.m.
“Firefighters arrived on scene and confirmed one fatality,” Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer April Newman wrote in a brief press release that provided no other details.
The victim has not been identified pending notification of the person’s family.
CHP officials are conducting an investigation into the fatal accident.

Trevor Montgomery spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg in an off-duty accident.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
