HEMET: Three vehicle, rollover accident snarls traffic on Domenigino Pkwy

HEMET – Few details have been released after a three vehicle, rollover traffic accident that happened on Domenigoni Parkway west of Sanderson Avenue in Hemet Monday, Jan. 1.

Hemet Police and Fire personnel, AMR medics, and CHP officers were dispatched to the location after City of Hemet emergency dispatchers received several 911 calls reporting the rollover accident about 6:30 p.m.

Callers reported three vehicles were involved in the rollover traffic accident and that several victims were trapped inside the vehicle that overturned. The roadway was left partially blocked by vehicle debris after the multiple-vehicle wreck.

When they arrived, emergency first responders reported finding three vehicles with heavy damage. Fire personnel confirmed there were several victims trapped inside one of the vehicles who needed to be extricated from their damaged vehicle.

Firefighters requested additional assistance from another engine company and requested a battalion commander to respond to their location to assist with extricating the victims trapped inside one of the vehicles.

On-scene firefighter/paramedics evaluated and treated the injured while Hemet Police and CHP officers diverted traffic away from the accident scene, to ensure the safety of other emergency first responders seeing to the needs of the injured and trapped victims from the three vehicles.

Hemet firefighters were eventually able to safely extricate the trapped victims, some of whom were reportedly transported to a local area hospital by AMR medics for further evaluation and treatment.

No updates regarding any of the victims injuries were immediately available.

The damaged vehicles were eventually removed from the roadway.

Hemet police officials are investigating the cause of the accident. Their findings have not yet been released.
