UPDATED: ANZA: Firefighter’s extinguish trailer blaze

UPDATE: 01/102017 10 p.m.

ANZA – Firefighters spent a little over one hour knocking down a blaze at a property near the intersection of Apple Lane and Reservation Road in Anza this evening, Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer Tawny Castro updated that firefighters battling fire brought it under control about 8:40 p.m.

“The fire was contained to one 40-foot 5th wheel trailer and one small travel trailer,” Castro explained after the fire was extinguished.

Fire resources remained at the scene for about two hours to conduct extensive overhaul and mop-up operations.

There were no reported injuries related to the fire, the cause of which remains under investigation.

ANZA – Firefighters are battling a trailer blaze that was reported this evening, Tuesday, Jan. 10. The fire is reportedly burning at a property near the intersection of Apple Lane and Reservation Road in Anza.

Firefighters responded to several 911 calls from citizens reporting the residential structure fire about 7:25 p.m.

Twenty-two firefighters from six engine companies responded to the reported fire, according to Cal Fire Public Information Officer Tawny Castro. They were assisted by a breathing support unit, a paramedic squad, and two water tenders.

“The first arriving engine reported two trailers fully involved in fire,” according to Castro.

Anza Co-op Electric personnel have been requested to the scene to de-energize several live power lines that sustained damage from the fire. The live lines were posing a danger to firefighters at the scene who were working to bring the blaze under control.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
