VALLE VISTA: “Young child” in serious condition after near-drowning
VALLE VISTA – A child suffered major injuries when they were pulled from a residential pool Tuesday morning, Jan. 31, according to a Cal Fire official. The near-drowning incident happened in the 25000 block of Bellview Street in the unincorporated community of Valle Vista.
The neighborhood where the incident happened is south of Charlton Avenue and west of Ramona Expressway.
Firefighters and other emergency first responders rushed to the home about 10:57 a.m., after Riverside County emergency dispatchers received a 911 call from a person reporting that a “young child” was found in a pool at the home, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer Tawny Castro.
The child’s exact age was not released.
“The child was transported by ground ambulance in serious condition,” Castro explained.
There were no updates or any other information immediately available about the incident.

Trevor Montgomery spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. He was medically retired after losing his leg in an off-duty accident.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
