RIVERSIDE: Man arrested after allegedly breaking into residence

RIVERSIDE – A man was arrested by Riverside police officers who were investigating a residential burglary Tuesday, March 21. The theft happened at a private residence in the 3300 block of Redwood Drive south of Lake Evans in Riverside.

Rashawn Bradley was arrested after he allegedly burglarized a Riverside home.

After an investigation into the reported burglary, officers arrested Rashawn Ahmil Bradley, 38, of San Bernardino. He was later booked into Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of residential burglary.

The incident began about 8 a.m., when officers responded to the home regarding a burglary that just occurred. The caller provided a description of the suspect, which was broadcast to all responding officers.

When they arrived in the area, officers and a detective quickly located and detained a man who matched the suspect’s description. The man was later identified as Bradley.

“Their investigation determined (Bradley) had entered the residence through the backdoor looking for money when he was confronted by the homeowner,” an official wrote in a social media press release. “He fled the house but was quickly located by officers.”

An online jail records search revealed Bradley is being held in lieu of 35,000 bail and his next court date was scheduled later today, Thursday, March 23.

Anyone with information about this incident or arrest is encouraged to contact the Riverside Police Department at (951) 826-5700. Callers can remain anonymous.
