MORENO VALLEY: Vehicle plummets over side of Lamb Canyon, victim suffers minor injuries

MORENO VALLEY – One person escaped with only minor injuries when their car went over an embankment, flipped over and smashed into a tree Friday, April 14. The early-morning accident happened in the area of Beaumont Avenue and Lamb Canyon Road in an unincorporated area of Moreno Valley, between the cities of Beaumont and San Jacinto.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire personnel, California Highway Patrol officers and other emergency first responders were dispatched to the scene of the wreck about 5:30 a.m., after several people called 911 to report the crash.

When officials arrived at the scene, fire crews quickly located a vehicle on it’s roof and up against a large tree. The vehicle had gone at least 20 feet down the embankment. before ending up upside down near the bottom of the steep ravine.

Firefighters had to use the “Jaws of Life’ to extricate the victim from their destroyed car.

Despite the severity of the accident, the driver, who was not identified, reportedly suffered only minor injuries.

California Highway Patrol officers are investigating the cause of the crash.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 26 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 12 – soon to be 13 – grandchildren.
